  Since the 1930s the construction industry has embraced materials derived from chemistry as part of the push for innovation and development in the modern age. But missing from this movement has been an understanding of how manmade chemistry has an impact not only on our environment but also on human health and wellbeing. In the early 1990s the principles of green chemistry, developed by Paul Anastas and John Warner, established a new perspective on chemical engineering processes that encouraged minimal use of hazardous substances. 

Many companies are executing great research to develop products that are better for the environment and support human health and wellbeing while meeting aesthetic and high performance standards..
